BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College volleyball team will bring a 4-4 record into the Mueller Sports Center at the Oklahoma Wesleyan Tri-Match this weekend. The Scots have won four of their last five matches this season and will look to continue their winning ways against two non-conference foes – Oklahoma Wesleyan University and Dallas Christian College – on Saturday. The Scots will square off against the host, Oklahoma Wesleyan University, at 11:00 a.m. before a showdown with Dallas Christian College at 1:00 p.m.
The Matchups
Oklahoma Wesleyan University: The Lady Eagles have compiled a 2-4 record through the first six matches of the 2019 season. OKWU is led up front by Laine Alves as she has registered 75 kills. Ellisangi Matos Torres has tallied a team-best 116 assists, while Bobana Marusic leads the Lady Eagles' defense with 92 digs during the 2019 campaign.
Dallas Christian College: The Lady Crusaders bring a 2-1 record into the Oklahoma Wesleyan Tri-Match. While DCC has only seven players on the roster, they have found ways to succeed in the early going. Offensively, everything runs through Elizabeth Morrow as she has accounted for 90 of DCC's 95 assists this season. Cecilia Delarosa, Brittany Fannin, and Lauren Baker have combined for 91 kills.
Lyon College: The Scots are 4-4 on the season after falling to Bethel University in Lyon's home opener earlier this week. Lyon is second in the AMC in service aces per set (2.4), while the Scots are third in the conference in hitting percentage (.228).

Alley Edwards, and
Gracen Ratliff have combined for 220 kills this season.
Kaitlyn Jackson has tallied 133 assists during the 2019 campaign, while
Levia Taegtmeyer leads the Scots in the block department as she has tallied 12 total blocks through her first eight collegiate matches.
Series History
Oklahoma Wesleyan University: Lyon is 0-3 all-time against the Lady Eagles. In their most recent meeting on Aug. 26, 2017, OKWU defeated the Scots in three sets.
Dallas Christian College: This will be the first matchup between the Lady Crusaders and Scots.
