COLUMBIA, Mo. – Columbia College used a pair of goals in the first half and three second-half goals to defeat the Scots by a score of 5-0 on Saturday. 

Lyon moves to 3-4 overall, 0-2 in the AMC, while Columbia College improves to 4-3 overall, 1-0 in the AMC. 

GAME FLOW 
The Cougars got on the scoreboard first on a goal by Kelsey Mirts in the 17^th minute. In the 31^st minute, Columbia extended the lead on a goal by Brianna Heath. As the halftime whistle sounded, the score remained 2-0 in favor of the Cougars.
 
The Scots pushed more people forward attempting to cut the lead in half. Unfortunately, it was the Cougars who scored the first goal of the second half. In the 55^th minute, Columbia's Brianna Heath found Isabella Govero who put the ball in the back of the net, extending Columbia's lead to three. The Cougars would tack on a pair of goals in the 56^th minute and the 71^st minute to put the match out of reach as the Scots fell to Columbia College by a score of 5-0 on Saturday afternoon.

KEY STATISTICS
- Lyon's Hailey Gonzales totaled two shots in the contest.
- Lyon's Cassidy Powell recorded a game-high six saves on the afternoon
- Columbia College outshot Lyon 34-2 on the day.
