TEXARKANA, Texas – The Lyon College women's soccer team cruised to a 6-0 win over Bacone College on Saturday. The Scots used four first-half goals and a pair of goals in the second half to defeat the Warriors.  

Lyon is now 2-1 on the season, while Bacone College falls to 0-2 on the year. 
 
GAME FLOW 
Lyon wasted no time in this one as Kimberly Fretwell made a great pass to Alexandria Denton in the 11^th minute. Denton struck a shot into the bottom right portion of the goal, giving the Scots a 1-0 lead. Late in the first half, Lyon scored three goals in an eight minute window. Tabetha Troxler scored a pair of goals in the 35^th and 40^th minute. Lauren Murray, then, found the back of the net in the 43^rd minute, giving the Scots a 4-0 lead as the halftime whistle sounded.
 
The electric offense of the Scots would continue in the second half. In the 64^th minute, Hailey Gonzales found Caitlynn Porter in the box. Porter took the pass and back-heeled it into the net, extending Lyon's lead to five. The Scots would tack on one more goal as Kimberly Fretwell beat the Bacone goalie, earning Lyon a 6-0 victory over the Warriors on Saturday afternoon.   
 
KEY STATISTICS
- Lyon's Tabetha Troxler scored her first two goals of the season.
- Sarah Evans, Hailey Gonzales, and Kimberly Fretwell each recorded an assist in the contest.
- Lyon outshot Bacone 20-1 on the day.

The Scots return home for a non-conference match with Principia College on Saturday, September 7th at 1:00 p.m.
