BATESVILLE, Ark. – The 17th-ranked Lyon College baseball team will conclude a four-game home stand when Hendrix College comes to Scots Field for a single non-conference game at 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

THE MATCHUP
The Scots are coming off a three-game American Midwest Conference series sweep of Park this past weekend and enter Tuesday's matchup at 30-12 overall.
 
Jake Michener had a big week offensively during a four-game stretch for the Scots. Last week, Michener batted .667 (10-for-15) with 10 runs scored and five RBI. He finished with a pair of three-it games and added a pair of two-hit games. He scored at least two runs in each of the four games for the Scots.
 
Marcelo Terrazas was nearly untouchable in the series opener against Park this past weekend. Terrazas was perfect through his first five innings of work until he allowed a pair of singles that broke up a perfect-game bid in the top of the sixth inning. The two hits were all off the offense the Pirates could generate against Terrazas as he fanned six batters in a complete-game, two-hit shutout.
 
Hendrix College sports an overall record of 24-9 entering Tuesday's matinee. The Warriors defeated Sewanee: The University of the South, 2-1, in a three-game Southern Athletic Association series this past weekend.
 
Jorge Leon leads the Warriors with a .393 batting average this season. Leon is 48-for-122, with nine doubles and one triple. He is tied for the team lead with 25 RBI and is second with 23 runs scored this season. Ford Sherrington leads the Warriors with 12 doubles and is tied for the team lead with 25 RBI.
 
Four Warriors – Andrei Stoyanow, Jack Hodgins, Evan Ingram and Kyle Wellman – are tied for the team lead with four wins each on the mound this season. Hodgins leads the team in innings pitched (63.2) and strikeouts (55). Taylor Barker leads the team with nine saves this season.
 
ALL-TIME SERIES
Lyon is 25-14-1 all-time against Hendrix. The Scots earned a 22-9 win at Hendrix College in the lone matchup between the two teams last season on Apr. 17.
 
NEXT FOR THE SCOTS
Following Tuesday's game against Hendrix College, the Scots will open up an eight-game road trip this weekend in a three-game AMC series at Hannibal-LaGrange. The two teams will open up the series with a doubleheader on Friday beginning at noon.
