Game One: Lyon 10, STLCOP 2 (5 Innings)
The Scots wasted no time as the hosts tallied six runs in the bottom of the first inning. After a one-out single and stolen base by Faith Cornmesser, Addison Harmon delivered an RBI single, giving the Scots a 1-0 lead. Next, Cheyenne Black doubled off the right field wall, scoring Harmon. After a misplayed fly ball brought home Black from second, Cheyenne Herrera crushed a two-run home run over the right field fence, giving Lyon a 5-0 lead. Siobhan Taylor, then, kept the rally going as she delivered a single to center field. Kendra Kelley, then, doubled to right-center, scoring Taylor and giving the Scots a six run lead after one.
In the second inning, Faith Cornmesser led off the frame with a single to left field. Harmon followed with a double that went to the left field wall, scoring Cornmesser. After a single by Cheyenne Black and a walk by Breanna Langford, Riley Shaw hit a sac fly to left field, plating Addison Harmon from third base. After two innings of play, the Scots led the Eutectics by a score of 8-0.
In the bottom of the third, Kendra Kelley recorded her second hit of the game with a single to right field. A pair of singles by Megan Micke and Faith Cornmesser loaded the bases for the Scots. Addison Harmon, then, hit a sac fly to left field, scoring Kelley. Cheyenne Black recorded an RBI groundout, giving the Scots a 10-0 lead after three innings.
The Eutectics scratched across two runs in the fifth as Clarice Tennessen and Sydney Vetter came around to score on a pair of RBI groundouts by Deanne Pfyl and Ellie Ottensmeyer. Katelyn Platt would retire the final batter of the day via groundout, earning the Scots a 10-2 victory over the Eutectics.
Katelyn Platt went the distance in this one as she threw five innings, while striking out six Eutectics and only allowing one earned run. This complete game victory moved Platt's record to 8-2 in the circle. Offensively, Faith Cornmesser and Addison Harmon led the charge for the Scots as Cornmesser was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, scoring twice and swiping a bag, while Harmon was a perfect 2-for-2 at the dish, including one double, two runs scored, and three RBI's.
Game Two: Lyon 9, STLCOP 1 (5 Innings)
This one started in similar fashion to game one as Megan Micke led off the bottom of the first with a single to left field. Faith Cornmesser then walked as Micke scored on the wild pitch. Next, Addison Harmon, doubled to deep right center, putting runners on second and third with no outs. Cheyenne Blackdelivered an RBI single, plating Cornmesser. Then, Anna Beth Conditt belted a 2-RBI double to right-center, giving the Scots a 4-0 lead. Lyon would not stop there as Cheyenne Herrera delivered an RBI single. After a walk by Mikayla Mullen, Megan Micke launched a two out 3-run home run well over the left field fence, giving the Scots an early 8-0 lead.
In the second inning, Addison Harmon led the inning off by reaching first on an error. Harmon would later come around to score on a sac fly by Riley Shaw, extending Lyon's lead to nine runs.
STLCOP would get on the board in the top of the fourth inning. With three consecutive singles by Lauren Wright, Amber Walsh, and Bear Wood, the Eutectics were able to scratch a run across. Cornmesser worked out of a jam by inducing a double play to stop the threat.
Cornmesser retired the Eutectics 1-2-3 in the top of the fifth to earn the complete game victory and keep the Scots atop the AMC standings at 2-0 in conference play.
Faith Cornmesser threw five innings, while striking out three and allowing just one run. Offensively, Megan Micke paced the Scots as she tallied two hits, including a home run, three RBI's, two runs scored, and swiped a bag.

The Scots host Harris-Stowe State University with the first game of the doubleheader beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, March 11.
