Taylor Freeman scored the first 11 points for WBU as the Lady Eagles took an 11-10 lead over the Scots midway through the first quarter. Madison Riley connected on a three, which was followed by a layup by Jade Giron to give the Scots a four-point lead before WBU tied the game at 15-15 on a bucket by Melanie McKuin. The two teams went on to trade the lead before Liz Henderson accounted for the final eight points of the quarter for Lyon as the Scots led, 23-19.

A 10-2 run to open up the second quarter pushed the Scots lead to double-digits before the Lady Eagles cut the deficit down to seven on a layup by Freeman. Kristen Baham scored the next five points of the game for the Scots to extend the lead back up to double-digits, but once again, WBU pulled back within single-digits as Lyon took a 39-30 lead into the half.

Lyon extended its lead to 16 points after the third quarter as the Scots outscored the Lady Eagles, 11-4, in the period. The Scots took their largest lead of the game at the 2:38 mark in the fourth quarter as a jumper by Giron gave Lyon a 62-44 advantage and cruised the rest of the way.
