BATESVILLE, Ark. – The 20th-ranked Lyon College women's basketball team went 2-0 to open up American Midwest Conference play this past weekend as the Scots will take to the road next and travel to Philander Smith College on Tuesday night in non-conference action. Tuesday night's game is set to tip-off at 5 p.m.
 
THE MATCHUP
LYON: The Scots enter Tuesday night's game at 4-1 on the season after picking up a pair of conference wins over Lindenwood-Belleville and Missouri Baptist. Madison Riley was named as the American Midwest Conference Player of the Week after a pair of strong performances for the Scots. Riley recorded her first double-double of the season in the Scots' 78-68 win against Lindenwood-Belleville. Against the Lady Lynx, Riley scored 25 points and grabbed 12 rebounds. She followed that up with 13 points and eight rebounds in a 77-52 win against Missouri Baptist. Head Coach Tracy Stewart-Lange enters the game with 299 career wins in what is now her 15th season at Lyon.
 
PSC: Philander Smith enters Tuesday night's game at 10-1 on the season and is coming off an 84-64 win at home against Jarvis Christian on Nov. 22. Ciara Pettis is the leading scoring in the PSC lineup at 19.4 points per game. Three other players – Terralyn Dominick (14.4), Rakia Lane (12.4) and Vivan Imarenezor (11.0) -- are averaging double figures in scoring for PSC.
 
SERIES HISTORY
The Scots are 22-4 all-time against Philander Smith College after sweeping a two-game series last season.
 
UP NEXT FOR THE SCOTS
Following Tuesday night's game at PSC, the Scots will return home to host Williams Baptist on Dec. 3 at 5:30 p.m.
