BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College men's soccer team used a first-half penalty-kick goal to defeat Park University by a score of 1-0 Tuesday afternoon.
Lyon moves to 15-4-1 overall, while Park University ends their season with a 9-5-2 overall record.

The match remained scoreless until just 14 seconds remaining in the opening half. Lyon's
Emanuel Santos got by a defender, before earning a penalty kick.
Leo Galdino calmly walked up to take the penalty kick and put it into the back of the net, giving the Scots a 1-0 lead into the half.
The Pirates sent more forward in the second half in search of an equalizer. The defense of the Scots, though, was up to the challenge, earning Lyon a 1-0 victory over Park University Tuesday afternoon.

WHAT'S AHEAD FOR THE SCOTS
The Scots will take on the winner of (1) Columbia College and (5) Williams Baptist, with the location and match time for the AMC Championship on Friday to be determined. The match between the Cougars and Eagles kicked off at 3 p.m. today. If Columbia College defeats WBU, the Scots will earn the second automatic bid into the NAIA National Championship Opening Round. If the Scots face off against WBU in the AMC Championship game, the winner of Friday's contest will earn the second automatic bid.
