BATESVILLE, Ark. – The Lyon College volleyball team hits the road for a non-conference tilt with Crowley's Ridge College on Tuesday. This will be the second meeting between the two teams this season as the Scots swept CRC inside Becknell Gymnasium less than a month ago. The matchup between the Scots and Lady Pioneers will begin tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. in Paragould, Arkansas.
The Matchup
Crowley's Ridge College: The Lady Pioneers have played their best volleyball as of late, riding a two-match win streak and winners of three of the last four matches. Offensively, Olivia Deckelman (150 kills) and Kaitlyn Stebelton (125 kills) lead CRC, while Stebelton (230 assists) and Bailey Tosh (194 assists) split the setting duties. Defensively, Kaitlyn Perkins and Deckelman pace the Lady Pioneers as Perkins has collected a team-best 359 digs, while Deckelman has tallied 44 blocks on the season.
Lyon College: The Scots are 11-9 overall and 3-3 in the American Midwest Conference this season.
Michayla Shanks has registered a team-high four double-doubles this season as the senior outside hitter has racked up 169 kills and 144 digs.
Kaitlyn Jackson is sixth in the AMC for assists per set, racking up 5.1 assists per set during the 2019 campaign.
Kendra Kelley has compiled 134 kills and 109 digs, while
Gracen Ratliff and
Alley Edwards have notched 128 and 119 kills, respectively. Defensively,
Maria Eleni Bampiri has racked up a team-best 41 blocks.
Series History
Lyon holds a perfect 14-0 record all-time against Crowley's Ridge College. The Scots and Lady Pioneers met earlier this season on Sept. 17 as the Scots made quick work of CRC, besting the Lady Pioneers in three sets (25-21, 25-17, 25-17).
