GAME FLOW
Both sides generated chances in the first half, but were unable to get on the board in the first 45 minutes. As the halftime whistle sounded, the match remained scoreless. WBU outshot Lyon, 7-4.

The Scots wasted no time in the second half as Lyon won a free kick just seconds into the second half. Marcos Fernandez delivered a brilliant cross into the box. Ignacio Zuniga got on the end of it and headed it past the keeper and into the back of the net, giving Lyon a 1-0 advantage. The Eagles would respond, however. In the 56th minute, Stefano Silva found Gonzalo Gallego just outside the box. Gallego struck a shot into the back of the net, tying the match at one. The visitors from Walnut Ridge were not done there as WBU's Gabriel Otero scored a goal three minute later, giving the Eagles a 2-1 lead. The Scots sent more guys forward looking for the equalizer. In the 74th minute, Estiven Garcia laid a pass back to Leo Galdino at the edge of the box. Galdino struck a shot that rocketed past the outstretched arms of the keeper, knotting the match at two. The match remained tied at two after 90 minutes.

In the first overtime, WBU and Lyon would each generate a scoring opportunity. However, WBU's Aleandro Perez and Lyon's Vicente Alamos made terrific saves to keep the game tied at two as the first overtime came to an end.

In the second overtime, each side generated one shot. However, neither shot would produce a game-winner and the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
