BATESVILLE, Ark. – A 12-0 run by the Scots to open up the game set the tone early as the 22nd-ranked Lyon College women's basketball team held Stephens College to single-digits scoring in each of the four quarters. The Scots went on to earn a 91-25 win over the Stars on Saturday afternoon inside Becknell Gymnasium. Lyon improved its record to 17-3 (13-2 American Midwest Conference), while Stephens dropped to 3-19 (1-15 AMC).
The Scots allowed just 11 points total between the first two quarters as a jumper by Kaleah Davis gave Lyon a 29-6 advantage after the first 10 minutes. Lyon held the Stars scoreless over the first five minutes of the second quarter and increased its lead to 54-11 at the half after a three-point play by Liz Henderson.
Lyon took its largest lead of the game late in the fourth quarter after a jumper by Whitney Wagganer put the Scots ahead, 90-22. Stephens College went on to add another three late, but a free throw by Davis gave the Scots the 66-point victory.
Katie Turner celebrated her 19th birthday today in style as she recorded her second double-double of the season. Turner tied her career-high with 15 points to go along with 10 rebounds. Oumy Ndoye grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds in the win. Mariah Brisco scored a team-high 11 points to lead the Stars.
Prior to the game, Ali Tucker was honored for breaking the program's career three-point record on Thursday night in the Scots' 90-43 win over Park.

The Lyon College women's basketball team will open up a three-game road trip on Thursday night at St. Louis College of Pharmacy. Tip-off for Thursday night's game is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
