SCOTS WIN THRILLER OVER TABOR, FALL TO JUDSON

GAME FLOW 
Tabor College:
Lyon faced several deficits in this match. The Bluejays won the first set to take a 1-0 advantage. The Scots battled back in the second set to even the score. Then, the Bluejays took the third set 25-20. The Scots countered by winning the fourth set 25-19 and setting up a pivotal fifth set. Lyon carried the momentum they gained from the fourth set, winning the fifth set 15-10. Several Lyon players had special individual performances, highlighted by Michayla Shanks (21 kills) and Ellie Embry (29 assists).

Judson University:
The Eagles were aggressive early and often in this matchup. Judson narrowly won the first set 25-22. Thanks to big performances by Taylor Konchel (11 kills and 9 digs) and Katie Valeria (8 kills and 4 aces), the next two sets were one-sided as the Eagles defeated the Scots in straight sets. Maggie Saad led Lyon with 4 aces, while Kaitlyn Jackson dished out 10 assists.

Tabor College:

Michayla Shanks recorded her single match career-high 21 kills.
Ellie Embry etched her single match career-best 29 assists, while Kaitlyn Jackson added 23 assists.
Kendra Kelley logged her season-high 16 kills.
Madisson Williams recorded a team high 17 digs.
Jordan Davis registered 6 blocks in the match.
- The Scots bested the Bluejays in kills 63-56 and aces 10-8.

Judson University:
Maggie Saad registered four aces.

WHAT'S AHEAD FOR THE SCOTS
Lyon opens their conference season this upcoming week with two road matches in St. Louis, Missouri. The Scots play against No. 9 Missouri Baptist University on Friday at 7:00 p.m. The following day, Lyon will battle Harris-Stowe at 1:00 p.m.
