GAME FLOW
Missouri Baptist struck first as Jona Oesterling took a corner kick in the 13th minute. Oesterling delivered a ball that found the head of Richie Taylor, who directed the ball to the back of the net that gave the Spartans a 1-0 advantage. Each team would continue to press offensively, but to no avail. The score remained 1-0 in favor of the Spartans as the halftime whistle blew.
In the second half, each team remained aggressive offensively as there were 21 combined shots. Lyon College searched for the equalizer throughout the second half, but were unsuccessful and fell to the Spartans on Saturday afternoon at Huser Field by a score of 1-0.

- Lyon's Marcos Fernandez, had a team-high six shots, with three of these being on goal.
- Lyon goalkeeper, Vicente Alamos, recorded seven saves.
