GAME FLOW
In the first half, each side would have opportunities, but the defense of the Scots and Trojans held strong. As the teams entered the half, the match remained scoreless.
The second half turned out to be very similar to the first. The Scots would continue to use exceptional defending to keep the Trojans off the scoreboard. As the whistle sounded, the score remained knotted at zero, sending the match to overtime.
Hannibal-Lagrange created the first opportunity in overtime as they earned a free kick just outside the box. The Trojans, however, would miss the shot wide. Lyon would create an opportunity of their own in the second overtime. In the 104th minute, Estiven Garcia found a cutting Emanuel Santos. Santos struck a shot from the right side of the box that beat the keeper and found the back of the net, earning the Scots a 1-0 victory over the Trojans on Saturday.
