GAME FLOW
ATU got off to a quick start winning the first three points of the match. Then, the Scots rallied with a run of their own to tie up the score 3-3. However, ATU would win the next two points and hold a lead the rest of the first game to edge the Scots in the first set 25-19. The second set was tight most of the way as Lyon played spectacular defense all night. However, the Scots committed 7 more attacking errors than ATU in set #2, allowing ATU to win the second set 25-17. ATU played their best set in the third as they recorded 16 kills and only six attacking errors. The Scots fought hard all night, but the balanced scoring of the Golden Suns proved to be too much for the visiting team tonight as ATU defeated Lyon in straight sets.
KEY STATISTICS
- Madisson Williams led Lyon with 24 digs, while Michayla Shanks chipped in with 9 and Alexis Garner added 8.

- ATU edged the Scots in kills 37-22 and dished out 13 more assists.
COACH'S CORNER
"Our defense was outstanding. Madisson Williams touched just about every attack, tip, and free ball. She was impressive. Unfortunately we had more unforced errors than positive points, which makes it hard to succeed. Overall, it was a competitive match against a great ATU squad." – Coach Ray Green
