GAME FLOW
The Scots scored the first goal of the game in the 2nd minute as Joyce Barbosa found Hailey Gonzales who beat the keeper, giving Lyon a 1-0 advantage. Both defenses would stiffen up as the score would remain 1-0 Scots heading into the second half.
The scoring really picked up in the second half. In the 59th minute, Saral Marcano tied the game off a pass from Annika Friborg. The score would remain tied until the 71st minute when Hailey Gonzales found the back of the net off a great pass from Joyce Barbosa. The Scots would use this momentum to score three more goals over the next 17 minutes. In the 78th minute, Joyce Barbosa scored a goal giving the Scots a 3-1 advantage. Five minutes later, Sarah Evanswould get in on the scoring as well with a goal in the 83rd minute. Elena Cervantes would round the scoring out with a goal in the 87th minute, earning the Scots a 5-1 victory over Principia Tuesday evening.
