GAME FLOW 
There were plenty of opportunities for each team in the first half. The Owls had the early chances, yet the Scots would hold strong defensively. Late in the half, the Scots had a great opportunity as Barbosa would elude a defender to take a shot inside the box that sailed just over the bar. The rest of the half was dominated by each squad's defenses, leaving the match scoreless as the halftime whistle sounded.  

The second half was very similar to the first with both defenses playing extremely well. The Owls had the majority of the offensive chances early in the second half. However, late in the match, Judith Flores would beat her defender and the goalie with a shot to the left corner of the goal in the 82nd minute. The Owls would try for an equalizer, but the Scots defense held strong and secured the 1-0 victory in the conference opener on Saturday afternoon.
