GAME FLOW
Evangel University got on the scoreboard first in the 18th minute as Jannis Petter delivered a cross that found Austin Reinold who tapped it in for the goal. Lyon College would respond quickly as Estiven Garcia made a nice move to break free and beat the keeper in the 26th minute. Garcia was not done there as two minutes later in the 28th minute he would score his second goal of the game off a beautiful cross from Emanuel Santos. The Scots would keep this 2-1 advantage heading into the second half.
The scoring continued in the second half. In the 50th minute, the Crusaders tied up the game as Christian Clardy scored his first goal of the season when he took a shot that went just passed the outstretched arms of Vicente Alamos. The game would remain tied until the 70th minute when Lyon's Sebastian Musietstruck a shot from 8 yards outside the box that found the back of the net. The Scots would use this momentum to tack on three more goals over the next 12 minutes. In the 76th minute, Emanuel Santos scored his first goal of the season after earning a penalty kick. Marcos Fernandez would join in on the scoring in the 78th minute as he would beat the keeper off a pass from Estiven Garcia. Eleodoro Martinez would round out the scoring for the Scots in the 82nd minute as he made a couple of shifty moves and then struck a shot that beat the keeper, giving the Scots a 6-2 victory over the Crusaders Tuesday afternoon.
