Scots Cruise Past LCU and CRC Saturday

GAME FLOW
Lincoln Christian University: The Scots got off to a fast start in the first match winning the first set 25-14. Lyon edged LCU in the second set 25-22 before finishing them off in the third set 25-20.  

Crowley's Ridge: Lyon jumped out to a quick start again winning the first set 25-19. CRC fought back taking the second set 25-14. In the third set, the Scots took an early lead and never looked back taking a 2-1 advantage over the Red Lions heading into the 4th set. The fourth set was close all the way until the finish with the Scots prevailing 26-24.

Kendra Kelley led Lyon with 10 kills, while Michayla Shanks chipped in with 7, and Gracen Ratliff added 4.
- Madisson Willliams recorded a team best 22 digs. 
Katherine Jeane posted a career best 4 service aces in the match.
- Maliah Feller-Blakemore led LCU in assists with 13, while Nicole Lough recorded a team best 15 digs.  
- Lyon bested the Red Lions in kills 27-18 and edged LCU in assists by a score of 25-16.

Crowley's Ridge
Madisson Williams led the Scots in digs with 21, while adding 3 aces. 
Kendra Kelley and Michayla Shanks overpowered the Lady Pioneers with 11 kills and 9 kills, respectively. 
Ellie Embry (21) and Kaitlyn Jackson (16) led Lyon in assists.  
- Bailey Tosh recorded 20 of CRC's 25 assists, while also adding 12 digs and 2 aces.
- The Scots recorded a game high 13 aces and totaled 18 more assists than CRC.

"Opening day turned out to be a great start to the season with 2 wins on the road. We were able to execute many of the things we worked on in preseason. Every player was able to contribute in someway throughout the 2 matches. We certainly have things to work on but I feel we are ahead of schedule."
WHAT'S AHEAD FOR THE SCOTS
Lyon takes its undefeated record to Missouri to take on the College of the Ozarks Tuesday at 7 p.m.
