COACH'S CORNER
"When you put a line up with 6 first year wrestlers on the mat you never know what to expect. I told the kids before they went out there to go out, wrestle hard, and have some fun and in looking at the score we did exactly that.

Our goal was to find out where are we and what we can do to get better, I'll go back and look at the film tomorrow and see but I can already tell I am going to like a lot more than I don't like. We had a couple of kids win some matches just by being mentally tough. When kids do that, it sure makes an old Coach proud, and it lets the other kids know that if they want it bad enough they will find a way.

We have 9 days to turn this around and get ready for the Kaufman/Brand Open held at Marysville, We are young but it sure is going to be a fun season as these kids learn to wrestle at the collegiate level." - Coach Tom Erikson
