Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Scots Fly Past Hornets, 3-0

GAME FLOW
The first half was dominated by the Scots as Lyon outshot Harris-Stowe 9-3. The score would remain scoreless, however, until the 22nd minute as Estiven Garcia found a cutting Ignacio Milla just inside the box. Milla struck a shot that beat the goalkeeper and found the back of the net, giving the Scots a 1-0 lead. Lyon would take a one goal advantage into the half.

The second half began with both teams creating opportunities, but both defenses held  strong. In the 62nd minute, however, Lyon broke through as Marcos Fernandez hit Estiven Garcia in stride with a through ball at the front of the box. Garcia made a defender miss before striking a shot just past the outstretched arms of the goalie, giving the Scots a 2-0 advantage. Just four minutes later, Lyon tacked on another goal as Fernandez started the break by delivering a pass to Garcia. Garcia, then, found a cutting Emanuel Santos, who rocketed a shot past the goalie. The Scots would keep the three goal advantage to defeat the Hornets by a score of 3-0 on Tuesday afternoon.
