Coach Fowler enters his fourth year at the helm of the Lyon women’s basketball team. In the three years
he’s been here during the NCAA transition period his teams have set several conference records. Known
for his fast-paced play and up and down pressing and fast break style his 2023-2024 team set
conference records in most points in a single game (144), average points in a season (93.1), totals points
in a season (2,515), assists per game (21.6), total field goals made in a season (966), and total assists in
a season (583). The 2024-2025 team set the conference record for most points scored between two
teams (207).
Fowler came to Lyon after coaching at Arlington Baptist University in May of 2022, where they finished
the 2021-2022 season 19-10 and runner-up at the NCCAA National Tournament.
Before that coach Fowler started the women’s basketball program at Mission University in Springfield,
MO and they had an inaugural season of 16-12.
Coach Fowler played and graduated at Drury University in Springfield, MO. After playing at Drury
University, Fowler joined the coaching staff at Drury as a student assistant before joining the United
States Navy. He completed training at the Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Center in Coronado, California
and completed three deployments serving with Special Boat Team 22 and SEAL Team 18.
While in the military, Fowler broke three Guinness World Records in NBA Three-Point shooting.
Coach Fowler lives in Batesville with his wife Cassie and sons Camden (six years-old) and Cohen (three
years-old).
