Rafa enters his second season coaching with Lyon. As a former player with the Scots, he appeared in 34 matches (starting 28) and totaled 17 goals with 9 assists during his career. 

Prior to his time with the Scots, Rafa played for two years at Cloud where he was named to the All-Conference and All-Region teams.
