BATESVILLE, Arkansas - Lyon College Athletics is proud to welcome Katherine Mayberry as the new assistant cross country/track and field coach for the Scots.
Mayberry is a Lyon College alumnus, graduating in 1985 with a degree in Physical Education. She earned her Masters in Education Administration from the University of Concordia in Austin, Texas after attending Arkansas State University and the University of Central Arkansas.
Mayberry most recently studied at Evangelistic Studies at the Grace Institute of Biblical Studies and is a retired teacher from San Antonio Independent School District.
A native of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, Mayberry graduated from Batesville High School. She was inducted into the Lyon College Athletic Hall of Fame in 2017.
Mayberry coached in San Antonio Independent School District from 1989 to 2017 in Texas where she was a soccer head coach, assistant basketball coach, volleyball head coach, track head coach, cross country head coach and taught physical education and health. She was also taught and coached in the Floresville and Elaine Independent School districts.
"We are excited to have Coach Mayberry join us," Lyon College Cross Country/Track and Field head coach Adam Trausch said. " We are glad to have her back as she brings a lot to the table."
