An experienced collegiate assistant coach, Shawn Daniel took over as offensive coordinator of the Lyon College football program in the summer of 2016.
Daniel worked as a collegiate assistant at Southwest Assemblies of God University and Midland University prior to coming to Lyon. He was the running game coordinator, recruiting coordinator and Director of Football Operations at SAGU, located in Waxahachie, Texas. He then served as assistant head coach and offensive coordinator at Midland, which is located in Fremont, Neb.
Daniel also has coaching experience at St. Joseph High School and Trinity Bible College, where he served as a line coach and assistant strength coach.
He received his Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies from Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, North Dakota. He went on to receive his Master's degree in Bible and Theology from Southwest Assemblies of God.
Shawn and his wife, Daniel, have been married for 13 years. They have three children, five-year old Scarlett, three-year old Lincoln and one-year old Hudson.
