Lyon College

Rushton Warren, hailing from the small town of Mountainburg, Arkansas, brings his passion and expertise to the Lyon College football program as the Defensive Line Coach. This will mark his third year as a valuable member of the coaching staff and his first year running the Defensive Line.

Warren will be transitioning from the opposite side of the ball, as he coached the Tight Ends during the 2022 season. Under Warren's guidance, one of his tight ends earned an impressive accolade, being recognized as an all-conference player in 2022. This achievement speaks volumes about Warren's ability to nurture talent and develop his players' skills to their fullest potential.

Before assuming his Tight Ends coaching role, Warren made significant contributions as the Assistant Defensive Line Coach in the 2021 season. His firsthand experience as a player for the Lyon College football team from 2016 to 2020 informs his coaching approach and allows him to connect with the players on a deeper level. Throughout his playing career, Warren demonstrated exceptional skill, amassing an impressive total of 37 tackles, 2 sacks, and 5 tackles for loss.

Warren's commitment to his own education is evident through his attainment of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Lyon College. This well-rounded background not only strengthens his understanding of the game but also highlights his dedication to personal growth and academic excellence.
