Andy Rogers, a member of the 2003 Batesville High School Pioneer state championship football squad and a 2004 graduate of BHS, was hired as an assistant coach of the Lyon football team in July 2014. He served as linebackers coach during the program's first two years.
He played football for the Pioneers for three years and was a two-year starter at center and guard.
Rogers was part of the district champion and state championship squad in 2003, earning all-district honors that season.
A former member of the U.S. Marine Corps who had combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, Rogers is also a former member of the Independence County Sheriff’s Department.
Rogers has a baseball coaching background with American Legion play and softball experience in coach pitch for girls.
His recruiting territory for the Scots football team includes Idaho, Nebraska and New Mexico.
Andy has a wife, Crystal, and a daughter, Coley.
