Jeff Robinson enters his first season as the Assistant Coach at Lyon College.
Robinson received All-State honors as both an infielder and a pitcher for Greenville High School in Greenville, Texas. He moved on to play college baseball at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Ark. He finished his collegiate baseball career at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Okla. where he earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Parks and Recreation Management.
Robinson began his coaching career at Cisco College as a pitching coach in 2008 and for three years, he led the Wranglers to a 112-58 overall record. In his first season, his pitching staff improved from seventh to third overall in earned run average in the conference within a year. His team allowed the second fewest walks allowed in school history and they were third overall in opponent's batting average with a .262.
In 2011, Robinson's staff led the conference in fewest walks allowed and the team improved to a 4.17 overall ERA that held opponents batting averages down to .247, the second best in school history.
After a year stint at Ranger College in 2012 where he helped six players move on to pursue their educational and baseball career, Robinson joined the private sector.
Robinson became a member of the staff at The Complete Showcase Grad Academy, where he served two years as the Recruiting Coordinator/Associate Head Coach and later, five years as the Head Coach.
During his career, Robinson has coached six players who were drafted into the Major Leagues, four All-Americans, 10 All-Region players and 38 NCAA Division I players.
He comes to Batesville and Lyon College with his wife Crystal and sons Tucker and Tye.
