BATESVILLE, Ark. – Lyon College Athletic Director Kevin Jenkins announced on Monday that Coby Potvin will be joining the Scots baseball coaching staff for the 2023 season.
Prior to Lyon College, Potvin lead the Central Arkansas Bears in batting average with a .369, on base percentage of .944, slugging percentage of .468 and tied the team in doubles with 10.
As a utility player for the Bears, Potvin received Southland Conference All-Conference Honorable Mention during the 2021 season. He began his collegiate career at Temple Junior College in Temple, Texas where he was voted Second Team All-Conference for NJCAA Region 5, hitting .378 with 10 home runs, 10 doubles, 69 hits and 51 runs scored in his freshman season.
Potvin, a native of Belton, Texas, graduated from the University of Central Arkansas in 2020. While at Belton High School, he was a three year letterman and part of three district championship’s. Potvin earned First Team All-District, First Team All-Area, and First Team Super-Centex his junior and senior years at Belton.
