Conway, AR – The Scots hit the course for the first time this season at the Bear Invitational, hosted by the University of Central Arkansas. The men's cross-country team placed fifth overall, while the women's team earned a third-place finish.
On the women's side, five Scots competed for Lyon.
Madison DeRoussel led the way, crossing the finish line in 24th place with a time of 22:39.27.
Novalee Lackey followed in 26th with a time of 23:05.86.
Anna Vaverka finished 31st at 25:46.67, while
Brianna Krantz and
Lana Ballard rounded out the Lyon lineup, placing 32nd and 34th, respectively.
For the men,
Elijah Benton led the Scots with a 14th-place finish in 16:24.08. Taegon Williamson followed in 29th at 17:59.62, while Colin Orvin finished 30th with a time of 18:01.79. Kobe Hudson (34th),
Daniel Thomas (37th),
Joshua Molett (45th), Thomas Pulhar (46th), and Fredrick Wright (52nd) rounded out the Lyon lineup.
