Eureka, IL – The Scots start hot against the Eureka Red Devils but as time was winding down in the final moments, the Red Devils were able to tie it up and send the game to overtime. Lyon finished the game on top in a 84-79 victory. With the overtime win, Scots advance to 10-3 on the season
Stephen Reed led the Scots in scoring 26 points. Reed also led the Scots in steals with six.
Trevon Taylor had a team high of 11 rebounds.
Xavier Sorrell helped out with four assists. Kenneth brown knocked a total of three shots down.
Facing a close battle with Eureka, the first half ended tied at 35-35. The first twenty minutes featured three lead changes and nine ties.
Kenneth Brown scored the first points for Lyon with a layup assisted by
Xavier Sorrell. Early on, Lyon players like Sorrell,
Stephen Reed, and
Kennedy Warren traded baskets and turnovers with Eureka. Reed was instrumental in keeping Lyon competitive, notably making a layup after a fast break and stealing the ball from Eureka players multiple times.
Trevon Taylor also contributed significantly, making layups and free throws, while collecting key rebounds on both ends of the floor. The first half saw various.

Kenneth Brown on a Eureka layup attempt kept the pressure on. With just over a minute left, the score tied at 66-66, Sorrell and Warren made jump shots to keep pace with Eureka. Reed's free throw with 5 seconds left tied the game at 69-69, sending it to overtime.
