Lyon falls to Ozarks on the road

Box Score Clarksville, AR - Despite an early push from the Ozarks Eagles, the Scots answered with two goals of their own before falling 5-2 in a competitive matchup. The Scots now stand at 1-3 this season.
 
The Scots tallied three shots, all on target, with Jessica Steele, Lily Barr, and Rylie Williams each contributing. Barr and Williams converted in the first half to give the Scots their two goals of the match. The Eagles, however, generated 16 shots with nine on goal. Goalkeeper Millie Beller recorded four saves on the night.
 
Shortly after kickoff, the Eagles pressed forward with three quick shots, two of which were saved by Beller (2:11, 2:50). Ozarks broke through in the 6th minute to take the lead, then doubled it at 35:52. Just 19 seconds later, Barr responded off an assist from Balderas (36:11) to cut the deficit to 2-1.
 
Mirroring the first half, the Eagles struck early in the 48th minute to go up 3-1. Williams quickly answered at 49:53, pulling the Scots within one. Just four minutes later, Ozarks extended the lead again (53:29) before sealing the 5-2 victory with a final goal in the 71st minute.
 
The Scots will take a short trip to Conway, Arkansas to face the Central Baptist College Mustangs Tuesday, September 23rd at 5:00 PM.
