Clarksville, AR - Scots were up going into halftime, but a goal from the University of Ozarks Eagles brought things to tie, 2-2. LC is now 2-1-2 on the season.
Lyon took 12 shots in total with nine coming in the first and 3 in the second half. Of all the Scots shots six of them were on goal with five coming in the first and only one in the second. Ozarks took five shots with three coming in the first and two in the second. All Eagles shots were on goal with three coming in the first and two in the second.Â
Matheus Nunes and
Cristian De La Rosa led the team in scoring each having one goal.
Joao Barros led the team in shots on goal with two. Barros,
Salvador Fernandez, De La Rosa, and Nunes led the team in shots each having two.
Gabriel Rangel collected three saves on the day, giving up two goals.Â
Scots offense would not get going until around 17:40 when Barros fired the first shot of the match which was saved by Ozarks goalkeeper. Lyon would keep the pressure on with a second shot coming only eight seconds later as Fernandez fired one at the net unfortunately being stopped by the Eagles goalie (17:48). Around four minutes later Ozarks would score their first goal of the game (21:11), to take the lead 1-0. Scots would go on the attack to even things up with
Tomas Biasi sending it over top of the net (26:11), not long after Nunes would take a shot that would miss wide right (28:09). Around six minutes later, De La Rosa would tie the game, scoring Lyon's first goal of the match (34:35). Not wanting to settle for a tie, Barros sent another shot at Ozarks goal but it was saved (36:54). Gabriel made his first save of the day preventing Ozarks from taking the lead (38:28). Scots would take the lead, 2-1, after Nunes drove in a shot with an assist by
Lucca Torres (42:26). Rangel would make his second save of the match (42:37) preventing another tie and preserving Lyon's lead.Â
Scots came out swinging in the second half with a shot from
Micah Rangel (51:07) and Jake Mcmurdo (53:08) both missing left. Both teams battled for field position until the Eagles scored their second and final goal of the match (63:10). Now tied at 2-2,
Gabriel Rangel's third save prevented Ozarks from taking the lead (63:10). The last offensive action by the Scots was a
Tiago Donadon shot which headed that was saved by the goalkeeper (86:56).Â
