ARKADELPHIA, Arkansas - The Lyon College men's and women's outdoor track and field teams participated in the Ouachita Baptist University Invitational on Thursday in Arkadelphia at the Hickingbotham Family Track and Field Complex.

Highlights for Lyon College included, John Paul Morgan winning the Men's Shot Put event and the Women's 4x100 relay team of Emely Alvarenga, Lana Ballard, Lakendra Bishop and Brianna Krantz setting a new school record.

In track events:
Men's 3000 meter steeple chase - Daniel Thomas finished 8th with a time of 12:07.62; Noah Cordes finished 9th in a time of 12:27.07
Women's 4x100 meter relay - Lyon A (Emely Alvarenga, Lana Ballard, Lakendra Bishop and Brianna Krantz) finished third out of four in a time of 52.38
Men's 4x100 meter relay - Lyon A (Emmanuel White, Michael Woods-Caw, Gabriel Morris, and  Xiyiah Spencer-Cole) finished second in a time of 46.51.
Men's 110 meter hurdles - Jakobe Alcorn was 7th in a time of 18.51
Women's 400 meters - Lakendra Bishop was 8th in a time of 1:08.06, Alora Huver was 10th in a time of 1:12.21
Men's 400 meters - Emmaunel White was 5th in a time of 52.07, Andrew Hernandez was 8th in a time of 57.14, Sawyer Seat was 11th in a time of 1:01.58
Women's 100 meters - Lana Ballard was 9th in a time of 13.16, Emely Alvarenga was 13th in a time of 13.50
Men's 100 meters - Gabriel Morris was 14th in a time of 11.84
Women's 800 meters - Brianna Krantz was 24th in a time of 2:51.12
Men's 800 meters - Andrew Hernandez was 24th in a time of 2:27.91, Timothy Brady was 25th in a time of 2:29.09
Women's 200 meters - Lana Ballard was 12th in a time of 28.07, Lakendra Bishop was 14th in a time of 28.78, Emely Alvarenga was 15th in a time of 28.83, Alora Huver was 19th in a time of 31.04
Men's 200 meters - Emmanuel White was 7th in a time of 23.47, Gabriel Morris was 13th in a time of 24.63
Men's 5000 meters - James McNew finished 20th in a time of 16:37.15
Women's 4x400 meter relay - Lyon A (Lana Ballard, Lakendra Bishop, Brianna Krantz and Olivia Letkey) finished 5th in a time of 4:35.48
