Batesville, AR - The Lyon College Scots football failed to get the win today falling 54-10 as they faced off against the Texas Lutheran University Bulldogs in the final regular season game of the year. Scots are now 2-6 on the year and 1-4 in conference play. With this loss Scots are the #4 seed in SCAC and will head to Little Rock to face off against #3 seed Hendrix in the SCAC Football Championship Weekend this coming Saturday, November 15th at 3:00 PM.
Offensively Lyon had 138 yards of total offense with 75 yards through the air and 63 yards rushing.
Christian Barber was 4-of-5 for 51 yards. Jesus Romero Castillo was the lead rusher going 35-yards on one carry.
Javarion Williams was the lead receiver catching 5 passes for 51-yards. Defensively
William Littell led the team with 9 total tackles 7 solo, 2 assisted.
Jaden Foster led the team in Tackles for Loss recoding two for 10-yards.
Keidrick Wooten led the team in sacks with one for two yards.

In the first quarter Scots defense would make some plays as they held Texas Lutheran to only a field goal for their first score. Littell and Wooten would stop the run, Littell would bring a down a receiver allowing for no gain of yards, this would force a pass play that went incomplete. TLU would kick a field goal to go up 3-0. Only Lyon's first drive
Jacobi Williams would have two carries for 12 yards,
Grayson Johnson would hit
Javarion Williams on a short pass, and Johnson would run for nine yards to get a chance to convert a first down. A false start penalty would force the Scots back and the ball would be punted away. On next Bulldogs drive Crawford would get a pick on Lyon 45-yard line and return it back to the TLU 39-yard marker.Scots would come up empty going three and out. Bulldogs would then score a touchdown and kick the PAT to go up 10-0. On next Scots drive
Keilin Hall would fumble on the rush, this was recovered by Texas Lutheran who took their drive to the second quarter. TLU would score 14 unanswered points until, Romero Castillo kicked a field goal to make it 24-3. Bulldogs would respond with a touchdown and field goal of their own to go into half time up 34-3.
Down, Scots would come out in first drive of the third quarter with some energy, as Johnson,
Jacobi Williams, and Jordan Donovan would run the ball to get to TLU's 39-yard line. Now 3rd and 6, Johnson would go to pass but it was picked off by the Bulldogs who returned it their own 43-yard line. Scots defense would force turnover on downs as

Xiyiah Spencer-Cole would all recorded tackles and Wooten would come up with a sack. On next drive Lyon was forced to punt it away, but ran a fake punt with Romero-Castillo carrying the ball for 35-yards to get down to the Bulldogs 27-yard line. This opportunity would slip away as a fumble would be recovered by TLU. Bulldogs would score another touchdown before the 3rd quarter ended to be up 41-3. Scots would score their only touchdown of the day as McGehee would pick of the Bulldogs QB and return for 35-yards to the endzone. Romero-Castillo would kick the PAT to make it a 41-10 ballgame. Bulldogs would then score 13 unanswered points to take the game 54-10.
