BATESVILLE, Arkansas - The Lyon College men's soccer Scots defeated Eureka College 2-1 on Saturday afternoon in a SLIAC match.
The Scots (3-3-1, 1-0) scored first on a goal by
Erik Oliveira on an assist from
Tomas Garzon at the 16:31 mark of the first half.
Eureka came back to make it a 1-1 tie at the 20:59 mark, but in the final seven minutes of play in the second half, Lyon College won the game. A shot by Luca Crigliano at the 83:04 mark sealed the win for the Scots.
Lyon had seven shots and three of those were on-goal attempts.Â
Individually, Garzon had one assist, Oliveria had two shots on-goal and scored one of them,
Joao Barros had two shots.
Lucca Torres had one shot and
Tiago Donadon had one shot as did Cirigliano who scored it for the game-winner.
Goalie for the Scots, Megale Henrique had four saves in the match.
