CARLINVILLE, Illinois -- Lyon College volleyball won their second road match in as many days against Blackburn College.
After going to five sets in their victory on Thursday night, the Scots (10-1, 4-0) left no doubt in their Friday victory as they swept the Beavers (1-14, 0-4) in three sets with final scores of 25-22, 25-13 and 25-17.
Statistical leaders for the Scots included senior outside hitter
Kylee Sabella with 16 kills, freshman setter
Caroline Snow with 21 assists, sophomore defensive specialist
Marti Flores with 21 digs, and senior middle blocker
Samantha Ferguson leading the way with four blocks. Junior outside hitter
Cristen Cleveland also had a solid performance, garnering 10 digs and leading the Scots with two aces.
The Scots will return to action tomorrow night as they travel to Webster University for a SLIAC conference tri-match against Greenville University at 10:00 AM, and against Webster at 12:00 PM.
