Box Score BATESVILLE, Arkansas - The Lyon College men's soccer Scots dropped a 2-1 decision on Tuesday afternoon to the University of the Ozark Eagles.
The game moved venues from Huser Field to the football turf practice field for day due to extremely wet conditions.Â
Although it was bright and sunny out, water was still an issue for slipping and sliding on the turf for both teams. The Scots managed to get a goal on the board at the 25:23 mark when Eric Oliveria's header went off of a Ozark player and in the net to make it 1-0.Â
Ozarks came back to tie the contest to tie the contest at the 35:54 mark of the first half 1-1. The Eagles got their second goal in the 80th minute of the game to take a 2-1 lead.
Oliveria had five shots at the goal and one on-goal header.
Mathes Nunes had a shot,
Gustavo Giesbrecht had two shots and
Traviss Ragan had a shot as did
Joao Barros.
Lucas Crivilatti had two shots and Filipe Santana de Oliveria had two shots and one on-goal kick.
Tiago Donadon had a shot on-goal as well for the Scots.Â
The Scots (2-2-2) will host Hendrix College on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. at Marshall Huser Field.
