Box Score CONWAY, Arkansas -- Lyon College volleyball comes back after losing first set to defeat Central Baptist College on the road.
The Scots (5-1) opened their match against the Central Baptist Mustangs (0-3) with a back-and-forth battle that saw them drop the opening set, 25-22. The turnaround came rather swiftly as the Scots answered by decisively taking the remaining sets by final scores of 25-14, 25-13, and 25-16, respectively.
Stat leaders for the Scots include sophomore defensive specialist
Marti Flores, who led Lyon in digs (18). Junior setter
Madeline Hopson led the way with 26 assists, freshman setter
Caroline Snow was not too far behind picking up 23 assists of her own, along with two kills on three attempts. Senior outside hitter
Kylee Sabella led the Scots in kills (17) and was second in digs (15). Junior outside hitter
Cristen Cleveland also had a great performance, putting up 13 kills along with 13 digs.
The Lyon College volleyball team will return to action next week when they return to Becknell Gymnasium on Tuesday, September 17 to take on Crowleys Ridge College for a 6:00 PM start.
