EUREKA, Illinois - On Sunday, both the Lyon College Scots and the Eureka Red Devils met in a non-conference game at Henry Sand Field in Eureka for a 9-inning contest that saw the Red Devils take an 8-4 win.

The Scots (11-16, 7-3) fell behind 4-0 before picking up two runs in the top of the fourth inning. Logan Lightner reached on an error and Caleb Collins scored on a muffed throw by the second baseman for an unearned run. Following that, Ashton Compton singled to left field to score Walker Smith.

The Scots added another run in the top of the sixth inning when Smith hit a sacrifice grounder and Collins advanced to third then scored on a throwing error by the first baseman to make it a 5-3 game. 

Lyon added another run in the top of the eighth inning when Lane Vangennip singled to bring in Logan Doody.
