EUREKA, Illinois -- Lyon College volleyball split their two matches at the SLIAC tri-match at Eureka College on Saturday.
The Scots (12-6, 4-4) played their first match of the day against Eureka (3-9, 3-5) at 10:00 AM on Saturday morning. The match resulted in a 3-0 victory for the Lyon College, as the Scots took it in straight sets by final scores of 25-17, 27-25 and 25-22.
Statistical leaders for the Scots in the Eureka match included
Kylee Sabella, who led the Scots in total kills (14), digs (13) and blocks (1).
Madeline Hopson and
Caroline Snow led the way in assists, with both players garnering 16 each.
Samantha Ferguson led the way with two aces, while also picking up a team-second best 10 kills in the Scots' victory over the Red Devils.
Immediately following the Eureka match, the Scots turned around to take on Westminster College (11-13, 5-1) at 12:00 PM. This match saw the Scots fall to the Blue Jays in four sets, by final scores of 20-25, 25-19, 23-25, and 20-25.

Olivia Locke led in total aces, picking up three. Sabella once again led in three statistical categories, including total kills (13) with
Mollie McCoy not far behind in that category (11). Sabella also led in total digs (15) and tied with Ferguson in total blocks (5).
The Scots return to action next Tuesday evening when they travel to Crowley's Ridge College for a 6:00 PM start in Paragould.
