ELSAH, Illinois - The Lyon College Scots women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 SLIAC decision to Principia on Saturday afternoon.
The Scots (3-6, 0-3) managed to get a score at the 24:58 mark of the first half on a goal from
Maggie McCollum. She was assisted on the score by
Aisha Mahmoud. McCollum's score tied the match 1-1 after Principia scored nine minutes into the game.
The match remained tied until Principia scored at the 35:18 mark of the second half.Â
The Scots had 11 shots, five of which were on-goal, in the match. Principia took 18 shots and 12 of those were on-goal.
Zoe Papzoglou had one shot on-goal, McCollum had three shots, two on-goal and one score, Mahmound had one shot and one assist,
Taylor Hammons had one shot,
Alexis Whitley had one shot,
Allison Byars had two shots and both were on-goal. Ashyln Winters and
Katelyn Balderas both had one shot in the match for Lyon College to total 11 overall and five on-goals.Â
