SEARCY, Arkansas - The Lyon College men's and women's outdoor track and field Scots took to the turf on Thursday afternoon at the Harding Bison Open at Harding University in Searcy.

John Paul Morgan set a Lyon College school record in the shot put and discus throw. Some personal records were also recorded from Jakobe Alcorn in the high jump and 400-meter hurdles; Joseph Peal in the 800-meter run; Avery Sterling in the 400-meter hurdles Lana Ballard in the 100 meter run, the 200 meter run and the long jump; Kaylee Lambe in the 1,500 meter run.
The following are the individual finishes:

LYON COLLEGE MEN
Men's 200 meter
Marlon Durand ran 17th for Lyon College in a time of 24.02.
Men's 800 meter
Joseph Peal ran for Lyon College and finished 33rd in a time of 2:39.80.
110 meter hurdles
Avery Sterling finished 11th overall in a time of 18.21.
400 meter hurdles
Jakobe Alcorn was fifth overall with a time of 1:04.35.
Sterling was 9th overall in a time of 1:13.17.
Men's high jump
Jakobe Alcorn was sixth with 1.75 meters (5'8-3/4").
Men's long jump
Durand was 11th with 5.59 meters (18'4-1/4")
Men's shot put
John Paul Morgan was second with 14.14 meters (46' 4-3/4")
Men's discus
Morgan finished sixth overall with 40.93 meters (134' 3")
Men's Javelin
Morgan finished 11th overall with 36.32 meters (119' 2")
Peal finished 14th overall with a 12.25 meters (40' 2").

Women's 100 meters
Lana Ballard was 10th overall with a time of 13.28
Women's 200 meters
Ballard was 8th overall in a time of 27.56.
Women's 800 meters
Haeley Pines finished 16th overall in a time of 2:39.19.
Women's 1,500 meters
Kaylee Lambe finished 12th overall in a time of 5:44.81
Alexis Herman finished 17th overall in a time of 6:21.48.
Women's long jump
Ballard finished 8th overall with 4.17 meters (13' 8-1/4")
Women's shot put
Aziza Takhi was 21st with 6.90 meters (22' 7-3/4")
