BATESVILLE, Ark. -
Sando Hill scored a career and season high 41 points in a 80-69 loss to the William Woods Owls at Becknell Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
The Scots (9-15, 4-12) four points in the paint, 15 points off of turnovers, 17 second chance points and got five points from the bench.Â
Hill started the game with a layup and a dunk for Lyon College. The Owls tied the game and Hill made a three-pointer and
Israel Palmer got a dunk. William Woods made it a 21-13 lead before
Trenton Bell connected on a free throw.
Gavin Brunson knocked down a three-pointer for the Scots and made two free throws, then Bell added two from the line and Hill hit a jumper and a three-pointer to cut the Owls lead to 27-25. The Scots trailed at halftime 37-32.
Hill completed a rare four-point play for Lyon College, then Palmer scored twice before Hill made another three-pointer to cut the Owls lead to 49-43.
John Paul Morgan completed a traditional three-point play and hit a jump shot. Hill made two three-pointers in a row and Palmer made two free throws. Eventually, William Woods went on a 14-3 run to go up 80-62.
