BATESVILLE, Arkansas - The Lyon College women's soccer team is still winless in SLIAC competition after dropping a 6-0 decision to the visiting Fontbonne Griffins on Wednesday afternoon at Huser Field.
The Griffins scored three goals in the first half and added three more in the second half against Lyon College (3-7-0, 0-4).Â
The Scots only had three shots on-goal for the entire contest while Fontbonne had 21 shots and 18 on-goal shots.
Priscilla Luevano, the Lyon College goalie, had 12 saves in the match.

Katelyn Balderas had all three of the Lyon shots on-goal during the contest. Mead's shot came just 12:30 into the match and was saved.Â
Fontbonne scored at the 26:20 mark of the first half, then Balderas had one of her two shots saved two minutes later. The Griffins scored again at the 37:11 mark and at the 39:16 mark of the first half to lead 3-0.Â
Fontbonne opened the second half with a goal 10 minutes in and added another gaol at the 63:21 mark and the 65:07 mark to lead 6-0.Â
Balderas was able to get another shot off with six minutes left in the contest.
