Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Lyon men's soccer defeats Webster University 3-2

BATESVILLE, Arkansas - The Lyon College men's soccer Scots defeated Webster University 3-2 on a rainy Saturday in Batesville.

The Scots (10-5-1) are 7-1-1 in the SLIAC and will likely go to the USCAA post-season tournament next week.

The first goal for the Scots came from Martin Esquivel on an assist by Erik Oliveria  at the 20:34 mark of the first period. That goal stood for a 1-0 Lyon College lead at halftime.

As the rain got heavier, Webster put together two goals within four minutes of each other to take a 2-1 lead, however at the 71:52 mark, Tomas Biasi got a goal off a double-assist from Esquivel and Andrei Galca.
So tied up at 2-2, Matheus Nunes got the go-ahead goal at the 76:34 mark on an assist from Galca to put the Scots up 3-2.

Shots by Nunes,, Filipe Santana De Oliveria and Erik Oliveria were saved before Esquivel's shot went into the net in the first half. In the second half, when shots were taken, they were scored.
