BATESVILLE, Arkansas - The Lyon College women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to the Mississippi University for Women Owls on Thursday afternoon at Huser Field in SLIAC action.
The Scots (4-9-1, 3-6-1) had only one on-goal shot in the game, but played the Owls even for the first 42:37 of the first half. Two minutes later, with 20 seconds left in the first period, MUW got its second goal to lead 2-0 at halftime.
The Scots gave up another gaol at the 80:53 mark of the second period.Â
Jessica Steele had the only on-goal shot for the Scots and it came late in the first period. Goalkeeper
Priscilla Luevano had seven saves. Both played the entire 90 minutes as did
Zoe Papazoglou,
Aisha Mahmoud, Abby Lovell, and
Bella Nehus.
Allison Byars played 85 minutes,
Ashlyn Winters and
Katelyn Balderas played 70 minutes,
Taylor Hammons was on the field 76 minutes and
Hannah Young played 39 minutes.
Deaiveon Carter came in for 19 minutes, Ali Mead played 58 mintues and
Natalie Wyatt had 33 minutes on the field.
