BATESVILLE, Ark. - The Lyon College Scots men's basketball team will be hosting a future SLIAC opponent tonight when they take to the floor at Becknell Gymnasium at 6 p.m. against the Mississippi University for Women Owls.
The Owls (8-8) are playing as an Independent Division III team this season before entering the SLIAC next season. The W's are coming off an 81-71 loss at the University of Dallas on Saturday. Milos Zeradjanin led the Owls in scoring with 16 points, Shon Wright scored 13, Brye Hopkins added 11 and Tyson Smithey scored 12 in the loss.
The Scots (5-9, 2-6) recently lost an American Midwest Conference game at William Woods on Saturday afternoon by one point, 73-72.
Trenton Bell led the way for Lyon College with 24 points,
Israel Palmer had 21 points and
Nikola SaSaroga scored 11 points in the loss.
