BATESVILLE, Ark. - The Lyon College volleyball Scots opened the second day of the Highlander Invitational tournament with a three-set win over Huston Tillotson, but in the final game of the day, lost a five-set decision to Haskell Indian Nations University.

Against Huston Tillotson, Lyon College won 25-17, 25-11 and 25-15. Later, Haskell defeated the Scots 25-21 in the first and 25-16 in the third set, while Lyon College won the second set 25-11 and the fourth set 26-24. In the final deciding fifth set, Haskell pulled away for a 16-14 win.

Tucker led the Scots again with 15 kills, Sabella had 10 kills and Beasley nine. Natalia Szymanska and Samantha Ferguson had five kills each for Lyon College. Garrett had 18 assists and Wilson finished with 15 for the Scots. 

The Scots volleyball team will be in action again next Friday at the Hendrix College Invitational tournament in Conway.
