BATESVILLE, AR - The Lyon College Men's Soccer team defeated the University of Arts and Sciences of Oklahoma Drovers 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon at Huser Field in Batesville.
Tavaris Wellington got the winning goal at the 83:27 mark of the game to put the Scots up 2-1.
Martin Esquivel booted in the first goal for Lyon College at the 31:56 mark with an assist from
Mauro Garrentano.Â
The Drovers goal came at the 34:30 mark on a penalty kick in front of the Lyon College goal to tie the game at 1-1. The Arts and Sciences of Oklahoma took 17 shots in the game, seven of which were shots on goal, while Lyon College had four shots in each half and took five shots on goal. Wellington and Esquivel also had two shots on goal with a score each.

Warren Simpson, Andrie Galca and
Pedro Mota all had shots on goal.

Lyon College men's soccer team will be at Louisiana State-Shreveport on Sunday, August 28 at 4 p.m.
